A (trial) feature that allows you to explore the questions we asked in our latest wave of the Climate Barometer tracker.

Climate Barometer Wave 9 — Public Survey Explorer

Demographic crosstabs available on request. Wave 9 includes demographic questions covering gender, age, region, ethnicity, education, household income, disability, and voting behaviour. These are used for weighting and analysis. Data can be broken down by any of these demographics on request.

Question tags: Co-designed questions were developed collaboratively with partner organisations as part of CB's structured co-design process. Community submitted questions were suggested by members of the public through an open Slido poll. Public + MP questions appear in both the public and MP surveys, enabling direct comparison between general public opinion and the views of parliamentarians on the same issue.

Local infrastructure

Shale_gas: Shale gas is natural gas trapped under sedimentary rock, which is extracted using a method known as hydraulic fracturing, or 'fracking'. There are large reserves of shale gas in Lancashire. Some people think that using shale gas could be a solution to Britain's energy needs. Other people think that fracking is a dangerous technique that risks contaminating ground water and causing minor earthquakes. Climate attitudes
